crafty stitch

I used to love to cross stitch in my free time - but I haven't done it in ages. This site makes me want to go take my stitch bag down off the top shelf in my closet and start all over again. Natureza Viva is an interactive flash cross stitch game to get people aware and involved in the environmental cause. Rather fun - you can virtually stitch next to people. Yeah - i'm geeky like that. I need more craftyness back in my life I think. Perhaps I'll start back with one of these kits.

All i wanted for easter

So we can't have dogs or cats at work but nobody said nothing about dinosaurs! I was given this lovely egg for easter and now i've submurged it in a half a water bottle at work to let it hatch for the next 24 hours. Supposidly it continues to grow even after it hatches. Can't wait to see what my dinosaur looks like when he/she emerges.

easter basket

I got this lovely basket today from one of the higher up's at work to thank my dept for all the work we'd put in. A huge bouquet of cookies and an extra side box of cookies as well! Very nice. But i had completely forgotten easter was even coming up... i had to ask when it was! Then I discovered I get friday off too! Joy! After such a crappy start to the week yesterday and this morning - this treat was a nice surprise!
